Whats the air intake parts air drag in Kerbal Space Program past 1.0?

I've been considering increasing efficiency of my early launch stages by adding jet engines. I found an old thread discussing the idea, and one post struck me as "make-or-break" of my idea:. IMO, using jets as a first stage just leads to forming bad habits. It only works because the current drag model doesn't work. As soon as there is a realistic representation of drag in the game, jet engine first stages won't work. . There's another, that explained why it worked pretty well:. Also, try not to use any intakes . . . [More]

How does air intake work in Kerbal Space Program?

How does air intake work in Kerbal Space Program?

I've just started building planes and am confused about the way air intake works. For instance, the J-90 "Goliath" Turbofan Engine is specified to consume a whopping 132.272 Air/sec while supplying Intake Air: 3.4 (presumably this is per second as well?). How would I supply such an engine, let alone two? The largest supplier of air that I can find seems to be the Engine Nacelle with Intake Air: 5.0 (similarly the Engine Pre-Cooler that takes in the same amount but is more expensive and lighter). That means, if I want to supp . . . [More]

I have tried driving to Devil's Pass and up the ramp to a cave with a snake painted on the side, but the challenge does not complete. How can I complete this challenge? What do I need to do to make the waypoint appear? Question from user Neon1024 at gaming.stackexchange.com. Answer: I managed to complete this today. I went to the north west exi . . . [More]

Can a redstone latch in Minecraft Bedrock Edition be supplemented with a toggle function?

Can a redstone latch in Minecraft Bedrock Edition be supplemented with a toggle function?

Posted On: April 3, 2023
SR latches and T-flip-flops are trivial circuitry in Minecraft redstone, but it appears that there is little to be found for a circuit that combines both, allowing for both SR and T functionality. I envision an SR-T latch to have set, reset, and toggle inputs respectively, but all connected to the same memory cell. This means that the output can be controlled by setting it, resetting it, and toggling it all at once. Just like an SR latch, pressing S or R when the cell is already in that state should do nothing. All of my circuitry so far . . . [More]

What are all of the non-solo types in Pokemon games?

Posted On: April 3, 2023
In the Pokemon games that I have played (R/B/Y, G/S/C, R/S/E), I recall that there are some types that never go alone. For example, there is no pure Flying type Pokemon, there would at least be Normal associated to them. The question is: what are all of the Pokemon types that require dual typing? Question from user prout at gaming.stackexchange.com. Answer: As of today there are no non-solo types left. In Gen 1 (Red/Blue/Yellow) there were four: Flying, Rock, Ice and Ghost. In Gen 2 (Gold/Silver) we got the first pure Ghost . . . [More]

How are the structure decks in Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds World Championship 2010: Reverse of Arcadia unlocked?

In Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2010: Reverse of Arcadia, I've unlocked a couple randomly (as far as I can tell), but I'd like to be able to buy them all. Does anyone know a way to unlock them all? And possibly a way to buy multiples of them? Question from user Rapida at gaming.stackexchange.com. Answer: Every 10 wins, a new one will be available for purchase. No, you can't buy duplicates. Additionally, you can only unlock structure decks that you have won with. EDIT: Found it! I didn't notice this before . . . [More]

In Dragon Quest IV, Is playing the tag-mode mini game necessary to expand the Pioneer Town?

In Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen (Nintendo DS), when you first discuss the Pioneer Town with Hank Hoffman, Jr., he mentions that in order to grow the town, you must play a tag-mode mini game to recruit pioneers to come to the town. Is this necessary to get the town to grow to its maximum size? I have read a few walkthroughs about it and they are not worded very clearly. Minecraft Powering a redstone torch on a block adjacent to a redstone lamp without powering the lamp

Posted On: April 1, 2023
Would it be possible to power the redstone torch in this configuration without powering the redstone lamp? Question from user Looky1173 at gaming.stackexchange.com. Answer: I assume by "powering the redstone torch" you mean to turn it off. The torch checks if the block where it is attached is powered. The redstone lamp checks if any adjacent block is powered. If the black wool is powered, both the lamp and the torch will be "activated" - the lamp lit and the torch off. If the black wool is not powered, the lamp will . . . [More]
