Arachnophobia Mode useless?
Hi, I am a huge fan of HL and I have always been really scared of spiders (I even have to tell myself to stay calm when I hover over them in the menu). I bought the deluxe version so that I could play on Feburary 7th and since then, all spiders that are required to kill for 100% have been killed by friends or family. As you can guess I am very thankful for the devs to introduce an Arachnophobia Mode but somehow it doesnt really cure my fear. I believe the fact that the enemy is supposed to be a spider is enough for my brain to panic. Even the spiderwebs are enough to make me go nuts. Am I weird or are there people who can relate?

Answer:
For me personally I think its that the spiders still make the noises with arachnophobia mode on. But in the wild its still bearable for me. It when you have to go into dens or doing jackdaws quest that was difficult for me. I had to take a break to calm myself after every spider group and saved afterwards to make sure I didnt have to go back. Though the amount of spiders in this game is ridiculous. There are so many other monster enemies they could have added to balance it. And then when people complained about the spiders instead of lowering the spawn rate in the wild but only added the arachnophobia mode as if we were over reacting about it. Like I get the spider dens are a part of the game but they dont need to span in the wild as far as Im concerned.
