Be honest: did any parts in BG3 make you cry?

Anything from misty eyes and sniffles to bawling your eyes out will count! ?.

I can think of a few (and mind you, I get really attached to the sympathetic NPC's in the games I play!):.

Astarion's defeat of Cazador (and his reaction afterward), in the non-ascended spawn choice. Tore my heart out. Real tears were running down my cheeks. Neil Newbon was. unbelievable.

Karlach's meltdown after defeating Gortash. Teary eyed, and wanted to scream!.

Finding the bodies of the Tieflings I saved in the Emerald Grove, in the shadow-cursed lands. and remembering bantering with them, trading wisecracks. I know people may think I'm a sap for this, but I was genuinely misty-eyed. In all my runs now, it's an automatic thing for me to carry all their bodies back to Last Light and bury them in the graves behind the tavern (and put a lit moonlantern on it to mark it, if I can find one)!.

Karlach's speech as she's dying. and this is from someone who never, EVER lets Karlach die! I either go to Avernus with her (almost always, especially since I romance her so much), or I have Wyll do it! Her "goodbye" speech still brings on the tears. (I literally cannot bring myself even to WATCH Karlach actually die on YouTube videos. I've never seen it, ever! I just can't. ?).

What are some of yours?

Question from user MistressAerie at BaldursGate3 at reddit.com.

Answer:

Meeting Scratch with Speaks with Animals.

I had to put my dog down a few months before I started playing. So watching a loyal dog protect his owner, saying hes just resting, hes fine and when he gets up well go home together ------ that really hit me in the gut.

H.A.R.D.

Karlachs emotional breakdown after killing Gortash came close. Her finally truly accepting that shes going to die, and her revenge on Gortash meant nothing. I think maybe I teared up a little.

But meeting Scratch literally had me sobbing.
