BG3 Community, things just got out hand
So the BG3 twitter is in the middle of a drama because you should not get the Astarion scars as a tattoo as it is considered disrespectful and/or downright racist towards the black community because they supposedly are a brand of slavery.
Things have spiraled so out of control that fans that have said tattoos are being targeted and harassed by self-named "BG3 black fans", accusing not only the tattooed people, but the BG3 community as a whole, as racist and anti black, among other serious things. Even Neil Newbon has been called a "british white man" and insulted to his physique.
Some screens of what happened.
It's very sad to see the community of one of the most inclusive pieces of media ever created being degraded to this point because of intollerant toxic "fans".
P.S: The last drama regarding the community happened a few days before and with the same self-called "BG3 black fans" because making a Szarkai or a drow with light skin is considered racist and/or you create them just to roleplay racism. Some screens of that discourse as well.
Question from user TrickMastahh at BaldursGate3 at reddit.com.
Answer:
Unhinged drama mongering and twitter - name a more iconic couple.
Sadly, the best thing to do with crowds like that is to disengage. Their opinions are already set, and theres no real way to get through their insane thirst for drama and virtue signaling.
