I'm 60 and asked my kids what game should I try and they said Baldur's Gate. I purchased 1 and 2 off of Xbox live, but someone suggested I could just start w/ 3 since they can all stand on their own. Is this true? I'm 60 and just getting into modern gaming.

Answer:

Yes! Bg3 has some characters from the previous games that make cameos, but doesnt require you to have knowledge from the previous games in order to enjoy the full story.


For context, Bg2 came out over 20 years ago, so even of us who played it when it released would need a major refresher if that context was required.
