Do You Multi-Class At Higher Levels Or Just Whenever?
Posted On: September 29, 2023

I’ve been trying to figure out how to multi-class since I see so much about it on here. Just figured out where the button to do it is. My party is lvl 5 or 6 right now. When is the time in the game it actually makes sense to try to multi class? I figured you’d need at least 5 or 6 in the base class before you branch out, but maybe I’m wrong.

Question from user TychoCelchu1 at BaldursGate3 at reddit.

Answer:

the ability to multi-class becomes available at character creation or upon reaching level 3.

When it comes to multi-classing in Baldurs Gate 3, it ultimately depends on your playstyle and the specific character build you have in mind. Some players prefer to plan their multi-classing from the very beginning, carefully strategizing their progression. Others choose to multi-class at higher levels based on the needs of their party or to explore new abilities and synergies. Ultimately, the decision is yours to make, so go ahead and experiment with different multi-class combinations to find what suits your character and playthrough the best. Happy adventuring!.
