Infuriating plot point
Is anyone else infuriated by the way the tadpoles are handled? We're told from the outset that these things are bad, like as bad as you can get. Literally no reason you would want them at all, but after a couple of long rest, somebody you've never met before who saved your life once says it's ok, because the light people need your help and "I'll protect you". This thing is eating my brain and you want me to add more!? As soon as I knew I had one of those things in my head my immediate goal was to try and get it removed, and then I could get to the adventuring, but nah, you're just suppose to let that thing stay in there because it's slow at doing its job.
Question from user bzknon at BaldursGate3 at reddit.
Answer:
I think its a little early in your playthrough to post stuff like this unless you want people to spoil stuff, personally .
Dont want to use the tadpoles, then dont. They offer more power but if you dont trust it then just dont eat them, give them to Asterion or something.
I used them because they make me strong. If Im not strong enough to get to where I need to be to remove them, then whats the point?
