Love the game but… do our decisions matter in Hogwarts Legacy?

Could we get a sim mode where our decisions actually effect the game play loop, things like a curfew system that matters and having to get to class on time have good rest a food and drink need be able to sit down at shops and enjoy things like a butter beer it’s like you created this amazing open world with the depth of a puddle and it’s such a wasted potential not having things like classes you have to take daily and curfews and cmon being able to cast an unforgivable curse is pretty stupid imo and shouldn’t be an option for a student at hogwarts cus you’d immediately get sent to Azkaban if anyone even heard you or witnesses you casting that. .
I just don’t get why they couldn’t have made difficulty effect gameplay more like all those things pretty much could have been put in a hard mode where as on easy it could have been like vanilla where you basically don’t even exist cus no one reacts to anything you do.
Question from user CanniMoth at HogwartsLegacyGaming at reddit.com.
Answer:
No matter what they add or take away someone is going to be unhappy. Ignatia is the greatest example. I personally enjoy the game the way it is because I like open worlds with no time limits. Yes, it feels like you’re not even really a student sometimes, but with no time limits the entire world is your playground. I can blast an ashwinder with avada kadavra in the morning and have fun in potions in the afternoon.
