What are useful or fun times to use Speak With Dead?

This is something I feel like I'm missing out on. Does it work on Undead? I always have characters that have the ability but never use it. I'm on my second playthrough. Every time I've tried, it says the corpse has nothing to say so I just gave up. .


Are there any particular corpses I should be talking to?

Answer:

Most of what it adds is context or color. If its someone your party has killed, you can use a disguise kit or disguise self and talk to it. But you only get one shot, you have to be disguised the first time you talk to the corpse. .


One great use that someone on this subredit taught me was that the missing woman in the burning building, if you talk to her after youve told the dude where to find her, he joins the conversation.
