which companions do you use as healer?
Posted On: December 11, 2023

I'm playing a creature master and want to try different companions out but I feel like I am forced keeping Shadowheart to keep the party rolling along. Maybe I could just do 4 dps and just go camping a lot.

Question from user RustySp00nZ at BaldursGate3 at reddit.

Answer:

None. The game is rather generous with both healing pots and camp supplies, and you want to long rest rather often because a lot of story related stuff happens during them.

The only healing spells I usually use are Healing Word (Single Target - Mass) for some buffs via gear and because they are a quick action.

CC and damage prevention buffs like Hypnotic Pattern and Sanctuary are way more effective.

Now that being said if you want to roll a dedicated healer, you can, but dont forget that they can also deal damage as well. Rerolling Shadowheart to Life Domain seems like a good choice if you ask me.
