Yenna doesn't get enough love.
I was going through a few reddit threads to get an idea of whether or not to accept the deals of Orin and Gortash, and whenever someone mentioned the kidnapping, they showed the least care for poor Yenna. Either people suggest keeping the other susceptible members in your party to protect them, which is basically selling off Yenna, or if they chose to save Yenna, it was because they didn't want the cat to die. .
I have nothing against cats but, Yenna is an innocent little girl in a chaotic and dangerous world, and she just lost her mother. She apparently, has no family left, just a cat and despite all the adults going crazy and at each other's throats, Yenna is taking it all with a smile, a paring knife, and a conviction to be helpful to the party. .
After being burned by Phoebe in AC Odyssey, I'd rather lose every other companion (except for Shadowheart and Karlach, maybe Laezel too), than let anyone hurt that brave little kid.
Question from user LazyCrazyAlien at BaldursGate3 at reddit.com.
Answer:
I’d like Yenna more if there was more of a point to her besides “making sure there’s someone for Orin to kidnap”. .
It feels like there WAS a story the writers were planning involving her, but it got dropped entirely along with other stuff in Act 3, so instead we’re just kind of left with the vague hints there’s a bit more to her than we’re let on but can’t ever explore those hints.
