Is Wordle always beatable under optimal play?

Is Wordle always beatable under optimal play?

Is Wordle always beatable under optimal play on easy mode (where you can guess any valid word)? To put the question more formally, does there exist a deterministic computer program that can play Wordle successfully, without cheating, for every target word? Wordle is a deterministic game besides the hidden target word, and there is a known, finite list of target words, so this question should be decidable. An examination of Wordle's source code shows that there are 2,315 possible target words and 10,657 additional allowed guess words (12, . . . [More]

It seems to me that its better to concentrate more on combat plants than potions

Since im now 40 hours into the game, it seems to me that its more economic and feasible to concentrate more on keeping your combat plant inventory full than your potions inventory. Producing combat plants all the time seems to take less doing than having lots of potions. With potions you gotta keep collecting or buying the ingredients needed to make them each time, where as with the combat plants, once you have bought enough potting tables and you've bought the seeds needed to grow them, you can just keep growing and growing them and rep . . . Is there a way to tell a Steam shortcut to open in big picture mode?

Is there a way to tell a Steam shortcut to open in big picture mode?

Posted On: June 15, 2023
I have a monitor and a TV side by side. Sometimes I want to game from my couch and sometimes I want to sit and game at the computer. When I'm gaming at my desktop I don't have the TV on. When Steam is in regular mode, it plays to my desktop, when it is in Big Picture mode, it plays on my TV. I have Windows 10 and controller companion. Is there a way for me to set Steam via the shortcut to open in Big picture mode? That way I can have both a regular Steam shortcut and a big picture mode shortcut. Question from user L4NC3RJ . . . Does renaming a pokemon to its original name count as a nickname?

Posted On: June 15, 2023
Basically what I actually want to know is, if I rename a Pokémon to its original name and trade it, will the traded Pokémon evolve with its proper evolved Pokémon name or retain its "nickname"? For example, I catch an Ekans and nickname it "Slithers". Later on I decide to trade it and want to remove my nickname in case people on GTS don't like it. I nickname it back to its original form's name with the exact spelling and capitalization, "Ekans". . When the other person receives my . . . [More]

How do Zonaite and Zonai-based materials work together?

Posted On: June 15, 2023
I am very confused about Zonai-based materials and how they work together to produce bigger/larger things. Specifically:. Zonaite. Zonai Charges. Energy Cells. Zonai Devices. Autobuild & Zonai-tech based vehicles. Zonai Forges. Anything else that I may be missing (???). I believe at the root of everything is Zonaite which needs to be mined from Zonaite Deposits. Somehow I believe these are used to make Zonai Charges and Energy Cells, but I'm honestly not sure about that. Can someone please give me a rundown of . . . [More]

What is a spike in Tetr IO?

What is a spike in Tetr IO?

Posted On: June 14, 2023
I play Tetr.io a lot. If I send a large amount of garbage, it shows a number, followed by “spike”. What is a spike?. I have found nothing, here on the Arqade, or on Google; just videos of people doing spikes. Edit: As of 28/09/2021, due to the 6.1.0 update, the U-I has been updated so that the word "spike" no longer appears on the side of the board. Instead, when doing a spike, the garbage number simply appears larger and has a flashing animation. Question from user theknightD2 at stackexchange. Answer . . . [More]

Is there an easy way to distinguish suspicious blocks?

Posted On: June 14, 2023
Minecraft 1.20 version introduced two new blocks called Suspicious Sand and Suspicious Gravel, which can be brushed to discover items. Those blocks are very fragile, because you lose their loot when broken, and that happens also when they fall to the ground. So I'm wondering: is there an easy way to distinguish normal Sand from Suspicious Sand? Or do I have to brush every sand block to find out? Question from user pinckerman at stackexchange. How to make an outline square?

Posted On: June 13, 2023
I want to start a build in a 10x10 chunk, but unfortunately I don't know how to form a square outline around the 10 by 10 chunks using smooth stone quickly. I've tried using the /fill commands and none of them seem to work. "Outline" meaning there is a 1 thick outline of smooth stone around the 10x10 chunks. So is there any other quick way to do this? Question from user DialFrost at stackexchange. Answer: There is no one command for a 2D outline. You can either do it with the four obvious commands for each side . . . [More]

What is the equivalent to the blood moon when in the depths?

Posted On: June 13, 2023
I've run around the depths for quite a while (100%-ed the lightroots) and I realized. I never saw a blood moon in the depths. The blood moon is essential because it causes enemies/ores to respawn for farming. But if you stay in the depths, would that mean things never respawn/restock as long as you are in the depths? That you need to surface occasionally, wait for a blood moon, and then jump back down? Or is there an equivalent event to the blood moon while you are in the depths?
