Bad graphics in Hogwarts Legacy
I just downloaded Hogwarts Legacy today on my PS4, but can't really enjoy it because the graphics are so bad. Shadows flicker and everything looks grainy. Its like the graphics settings are really low.
I have tried different settings but nothing works.
Anybody got some tips on how to fix this, if possible?

Answer:
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing graphical issues with Hogwarts Legacy on your PS4. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to improve the graphics quality:
-
Check for updates: Ensure that you have the latest updates for both the game and your PS4 system software. Developers often release patches to address performance issues and bugs.
-
Adjust display settings: Go to the PS4 settings menu and navigate to "Sound and Screen" or "Display Settings." From there, you can try adjusting the resolution, screen size, or other display options to see if it improves the graphics quality.
-
Check your HDMI cable: Make sure that the HDMI cable connecting your PS4 to your TV is securely plugged in. Try using a different HDMI cable or port to rule out any potential issues with the connection.
-
Rebuild PS4 database: Sometimes, a fragmented or corrupted database can impact system performance. You can try rebuilding the PS4 database by booting your console into Safe Mode. To do this, turn off your PS4, then press and hold the power button until you hear two beeps. Connect your controller via USB and select the "Rebuild Database" option. Note that this process may take some time.
-
Clear cache: Delete any temporary files or cache data related to Hogwarts Legacy. To do this, go to the PS4 settings, select "Storage," and then choose "System Storage." From there, you can delete temporary files or game data associated with Hogwarts Legacy.
-
Contact support: If the issue persists, you may want to reach out to the game's support team or the PlayStation support for further assistance. They might be able to provide more specific guidance or investigate if there are known issues with the game on certain hardware configurations.
Remember that the graphical capabilities of a game can be influenced by both the hardware specifications of your PS4 and the game's optimization. If your console is an older model or doesn't meet the recommended system requirements for Hogwarts Legacy, it may impact the visual quality to some extent.
