Do you consider saving Shadowheart parents a good choice?

On my first playthrough, I killed them because it seemed like the best choice. I'm on my second playthrough now and this time, I choose to romance Shadowheart. I'm at that point where I need to choose again, free her from the curse or save her parents. I wanted to free them this time to get the "happy" ending where Shadowheart get her parents back and we all live together. The thing is. The curse is still here. I'm not sure about how much the curse hurt her but it's something that she will have to live with for the rest of her life and considering her longer lifespan. We will be by her side but when her parents and us die, she will remain all alone with only the curse and I'm not sure I want this. .
So do you think freeing her parents is something to even consider ? Because even them want her to be free from the curse. I know she'll be happy to have them at her side in short term but in a long term.
Question from user PRGRyan at BaldursGate3 at reddit.
Answer:
I consider the best choice to be the one she chooses for herself. .
I don’t think either option is great, but I prefer the one that allows her to put Shar fully behind her.
