First time playing Hogwarts Legacy

I haven't played this game yet and I've done a fantastic job at staying away from getting pretty much anything spoiled for me. That being said, what are some things (spoiler free please) that you wish you knew before playing the game? What're some tips you would like to pass along to me?
Question from user DragoticGaming at HogwartsLegacyGaming at reddit.
Answer:
Only buy ingredients from the shop to get your room of requirements started (like seeds or potion items for example - you’ll know what I’m talking about when you reach that point. Don’t waste money on ingredients for potions later on, tons of mobs and collectibles around the map). Don’t waste money on potions either, you’ll be able to slap down 7 potion stands etc… and can make them at your leisure.
Look into Herbology as well, super helpful if you are having difficulties with the combat system and combos.
Also catch and organize your beasts and make sure to collect from them as often as you can for gear upgrades.
If you see a BIG chest, you’ll most likely get a legendary item, make sure you have room in your inventory or you could lose out on the “roll” of what that items was initially supposed to be.
Lastly, spam the literal hell out of revelio and try to complete your field guide challenges early on (helpful if you’re playing on hard for the levels).
