Hogwarts Legacy, What the hell was that?

Okay.. I was just running around doing some easy side quests (or so I thought) and saw a cute little house elf selling a shop.
Fast forward a few minutes and I suddenly end up in a literal HORROR GAME? Fastidio's Mansion, what the hell was that!!??.
I did not sign up for this.
Had me putting my TV on mute a hiding everytime I had to turn my character around.
That was wild.
I felt like I was in a completely different game.
Please share your thoughts lol, I know I'm not the only one who was freaking out.
I think the worst part was when the hallway kept getting smaller and all of a sudden it was a small square room, then dark, and then once you do lumos you were surrounded by the mannequins.
Also the spider jumpscare.
Question from user snowytaurus at HogwartsLegacyGaming at reddit.com.
Answer:
Best quest in the game tbh, comes out of no where and uses the engine’s excellent lighting system to great effect.
I’d love to see more of this kind of darker quest in an expansion or sequel - spin off.
