This game is BYO immersion

Regarding the conversation on how immersive this game is / how immersive it could be: I’ve been having a delightful time doing a kind of DIY immersion. Here’s what I do:.
return to the common room at the end of every day that I’m in or near the castle. If I’m away from the castle for a night, it’s because I snuck away (or something). basically I keep watch on the time of day and make sure where I am makes sense for what time it is .
wear school robes to class, adventure-y clothes to adventure, etc. .
never fast travel, I also avoid floo travel because I love walking around the castle and flying.
periodically just go to the library or common areas and mill about .
I also just have a lot of storytelling/role playing going on in my head, which makes me want to take the time to do these things. I made up stories about myself at Hogwarts when I was a kid, and this feels just like that, and in many ways so much better. I’m kind of living my 12-year-old self’s dream, and savoring it as much as I can. .
Anyway, that’s my two cents about the immersion in the game. It’s BYOI. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing, either. Might make it accessible for more people, who have different play styles? .
Happy make-believing!.
