Using in game mod manager locks you out of achievements

This is a major PSA for anyone thinking about using mods: If you still want to earn achievements, do not turn those mods on! Even if it's just for some hair or clothing. .


As someone who has never used mods before, this was not clear to me when Larian introduced the in game mod manager in patch 7. I'm in Act 3 of my first evil Durge run, and just realized I've missed out on several achievements.

While they did not include that information explicitly in the Patch notes, they did include a Modding Guidelines link under the Getting started with Mods section.


Achievements, Save Games, And Multiplayer.


If you run your game with mods enabled, whether they’re third-party or installed through the Mod browser, your in-game achievements will automatically be disabled. .


Should it have maybe been included on the main page? Sure.


Did they make it clear if you followed the resources they provided? Yes.
