What is the best class to RP as a doctor?

So, I want to try and play as a doctor character but don't know what class would fit them best. Armor wise, I feel like they would only wear clothing and wield a staff. I was thinking cleric could fit but don't know if they are too combat focused.


Any ideas appreciated.

Answer:

you could do something like transmutation wizard 6, sorc 2 (any subclass, but probably storm for best access to your allies or shadow for the death-save RP), cleric 4 (life, light, or knowledge).


transmutation wizard gives you access to transmutation stone, which you can give everyone in your party for resistances (vaccines), movement (stimmy scripts), or constitution proficiency (internal med). it also gives you access to haste (adderal - steroids) which sorc 2 allows you to dual-cast, and cleric 4 gives you a feat and access to doctor-type healing (aid, healing word, mass healing word).
