I just find it completely hypocritical to hate the poachers for kidnapping animals, and from our player's POV, we don't even know if they kill them or not. Sorry not everyone has the opportunity to keep a giant portal to another dimension perfect for animals so they use cages just as humans use kettles. Our character is under the impression this is wrong and the poachers need punishment. And literally on the way to defeat poachers, proceed to kill innocent creatures (mongrels) and take their fur while invading their designated territory.
