Hi, it’s me again. You’re going to see me asking lots of things. So, I did the quest for Raphael, for Astarion’s sake and now I have to fight Cazador while we have the tadpole so we have the advantage. Except I read that I can’t go to Baldur’s Gate during act 2 and I also can’t leave the area with Halsin without possibly losing him forever and I’m not the kind of person willing to do that. Does all of this mean I have to reload a save and tell Astarion that destroying the absolute is more important? I’m so lost and confused as to what to do. Everyone else in my pastry has high approval but he’s the only one whose approval is low (46) as right now. Yes, that’s low to me. I could use some advice as to what to do and where to go with this. I refuse to lose any followers and I want to do the best I can.

Answer:

It’s not possible to fight Cazador until act 3. But that’s okay, because you’re not losing your tadpole and its advantages anytime soon. You should have learned by now that extracting the tadpole is not possible at the moment, and it won’t be for some time. Keep playing :).
