What does the Reset button on an N64 actually do?

The question struck me this morning when I saw my old N64; there's a reset button on it. What does it actually do? Can't remember a moment where I did have to push it. Is it simply a button that does exactly the same as if you were to turn off the console and back on, just in a fraction of a second? Level 40 Is it Possible Hogwarts Legacy?

I have a few questions regarding Level 40. 1) Is it worth the effort? 2) I am level 35 on my first play through and am about at the point of boredom starting my 2nd playthrough (dark path this time) I have only just finished the story and all the side quests on my list, so seriously how do I get to 40? 3) Regarding the Legendary Gear I have gear that has a defence of 99-102 sort of mark, does anyone know what the MAX gear is? As my level increases, I'm starting to find some sacred/ancestral versions of aspects. However, for the vast majority of aspects, it seems to make no difference what version it is. (in fact, the ancestral one could be said to be worse as it has the same effect but requires higher minimum level). Does the aspect tier actually matter for anything? How many dead horses will the Horse God, Malanya, remember?

After paying to unlock Malanya, the Horse God, you can revive horses that you had boarded that have reached a state of no longer living. Is there some kind of limit on how many horses are available to be revived? For example, if I've had 2 horses die, can I revive them both? What about 10? and 100? 1,000? I went through two guides step by step for the Great Hall and then a video guide step by step for the Great Hall. I've allegedly found them all. How to learn the duration of spells in Baldurs Gate 3?

One thing that continues to annoy me is that a whole lot of spells (and potions) have no information of how long the spell will last. Neither in the spell description nor once actually cast. For example just now I killed some rats in a cellar in Baldur's Gate using Wall of Fire, cast by Will as a level 5 warlock spell. The spell does not say how long it will last. At the beginning of Stray, the cat is walking with his cat friends in nature presumably outside the city. How did the cat end up in the city at the beginning of the game if the city had been sealed?
