I’ve been trying to figure out how to multi-class since I see so much about it on here. Just figured out where the button to do it is. My party is lvl 5 or 6 right now. Just entered A3 for the first time. Is this event broken?

I just started Act 3 and found a barn with stuff for the refugees. I convinced Manip Nestor to let me in the barn and I found a chest full of trapped toys. I disarmed the traps and this starts a quest about the toys. Immediately after, Manip Nestor runs to me. I explain about the toys and he says "how do I know you're not the one who trapped them?" and goes hostile, together with the other Flaming Fists around. Let's say I wanted +2 Perception. I could. Put two points into Perception. Put two points into VANS; the second rank gives you +2 Perception. Seems like for 2 points I could have +2 Perception, or I could have +2 Perception and bonus VANS pathfinding. Last night, I was lockpicking something with 20 DC. I have +12 in bonuses and the 1d4 guidance roll. So essentially, on any roll, I have +13-17 bonus, which means the dice would have to roll a 6 or lower for me to fail against 20 DC. I failed 4 straight times. Frustrating, to say the least ??. And since then rabbits, Sponges, new enchantments and new enchantment features have been added, and even a new boss, but no mention of it in the launcher?
