In Deadcells, What do hollow blue circles with a dot mean on the World Map?

During a 2 Boss Stem Cell run, I noticed some biomes on the World Map were marked by sets of hollow blue circles that had a dot inside and were connected together. When selecting a marked location, I could not see paths showing which biomes the area was connected to. The marked biomes were Cavern, Guardian's Haven, Astrolab, and Observatory. Is there a way to summon Dogmeat to you in Fallout 4?

I've recently started playing Fallout 4, and I've acquired Dogmeat. Long story short, I told him to stay in a small building so I could down a few raiders quietly but I forgot about him and I can't find him. Watching the PUBG invitational, I realise that the island where the lobby is (the minute before you get in the plane) is still on the map. Looking to buy this game but debating between Pc or Xbox. (Don’t have a steam deck) but leaning toward Xbox so I can play on the couch. Thoughts?
