How do I take down a ufo without damaging it?

I've been looking for a way to take down a UFO without doing any (or little damage) to it as possible. I haven't found any research that would help me either. My question is, is there some weapon that I can research that will act like an EMP against UFOs? Can I progress without doing isobel’s fight encounter?

I think I’ve reloaded my save 6 or 7 times trying to save this & I can’t for the life of me make it happen. I think the closest I’ve gotten has been getting Marcus down to like 31 health but those flying things keep taking her out every time. Is there a way I can just get her protection spell then leave and make my way with a torch? Im convinced that at my current class and rank that this boss fight is unbeatable and don’t really wanna waste hours trying to beat it. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated . . . [More]
